BENEFITS
For Users
The intervention helps users manage stress through personalized insights and virtual CBT, improving their emotional well-being. By providing accessible, real-time support, it offers a proactive approach to mental health, making it easier for healthcare workers to maintain resilience in high-stress environments.
For The System
Clinical managers and administrators benefit from the program by gaining insights into its usability and effectiveness. This ensures that the intervention aligns with clinical workflows and enhances staff well-being, which in turn improves overall workplace productivity, reduces burnout, and supports better patient care outcomes.
Project Theme Information
Healthcare workers, particularly frontline providers, experience significant stress that negatively impacts their mental health. However, there is a shortage of accessible, tailored mental health resources designed specifically for these workers.
The AI-enabled Stress Management Assistant is a program that provides personalized e-coaching and real-time stress monitoring integrated with virtual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It incorporates the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Moral Injury (ACT-MI) to support mental health through targeted interventions.
The system integrates video-based telehealth with wearable technology, facilitating real-time patient monitoring and therapeutic interactions. The AI-enabled platform assesses stress levels and provides tailored e-coaching based on data collected from wearable devices. The intervention is complemented by virtual CBT modules accessible via an online platform, offering users interactive learning and stress management tools.
